Good morning,
The known into the unknown
Last year is behind us and now we are looking ahead to another year of life. For most of us who are not quite sure what happened last year, we can now look forward to another year of growing and changing and learning to live with the challenges that come with God’s perfect plan for each of us. What I love about God is that he knows each of us perfectly. He knows our hearts, he knows all the details of where we are physically, mentally and spiritually. God knows why he wants us here, and he knows where we will be and what we will be doing and what we will be thinking every hour of every day. God knows how all of our decisions will be a part of our lives in time and how that will impact how we will be living and serving him in eternity. God knows why he has called us into his eternal family and how the battles that will come our way are a part of helping us to grow up and bring God eternal Glory. Even though we don’t really know what will be happening from day to day or hour to hour, our Heavenly Father knows exactly how everything fit his plans.
What we fear and what God already knows, is what the battle will be like in the days ahead. We all have a sense of fear of what might happen and how we might fail in the process of facing discipline and defeat as part of our ministry experience. What I love about this part of life is that we have a very special Wonderful Counselor and High Priest who will be with us through all that will come our way as part of his plan. In Hebrews we are reminded that Jesus, the Son of God is in heaven guiding the process. We are encouraged to go into his will and plan holding firmly to what we believe.(Heb. 4:14) Jesus understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. Our Savior knows who fits into what situation and what will come of our faith and struggles. He is there with us in all the surprises and failures and successes that come with his plan. So he gives us the wonderful assurance that we are welcome at his throne with our struggles and needs. He promises us that, There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.(v.16) So even though we don’t know the details of what’s ahead we do know who has the master plan and that he will be with us no matter what we face in the year ahead. Thank you Lord for knowing and loving us like you do! We love you too!
Psalms 139:1 O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. 2 You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. 3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.
