Renewed day by day

Good morning,
Renewed day by day

While the world around us seems to be filled with fear and anger and confusion, those of us in God’s family have a whole different approach to life.  When Paul was writing to the church at Corinth, he painted a completely different picture for God’s children living in dark and dangers times.  Paul pointed out that, For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.(2Cor.3:17)  While people around us may be living in despair, our Lord makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
(3:18)  While the world around us deals with change and weakness and loss of control, since God in his mercy has given us this new way,(of living) we never give up.(4:1) As God’s family we are living our lives as an adventure in faith and become more and more determined to follow our Good Shepherd into the wonderful reality of living our lives His Way. While the world around us becomes more and more controlled by lies and fake news, we as God’s children become more and more committed to, reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don't try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. As God’s faithful servants, We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.(4:2)

While the world around us is struggling with collapsing economies, Jesus tells us to Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.(Matt.6:33) Remember what the Lord promised his people when they followed him to the promised land. The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deu.31:8) So what did Jesus tell us to do about following him into the future that he has planned for us? "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.(Matt.6:34) Since God’s plans for our world and our countries and our personal concerns are far too complex for us to understand, our Savior longs for us to live a day at a time.  Our enemy will do his best to try to get us to focus on what we want, when we want it, and how we will be able to keep it instead of just asking him to lead us and give us his strength and wisdom to carry out his plans for us today.  The only way we will be able to keep on serving our Lord effectively and never give up as we grow weaker with time, is to rely on the Holy Spirit to renew our strength day by day.  Another benefit of day by day living is that, our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!(2Cor.417) Thank you Lord for loving and understanding what we need to finish our lives in joy and peace.  We love you Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
