Have we understood?

Good morning,
Have we understood?

Where is God when law and order have been replaced by anger and confusion?  Those of us who know the Bible and know God’s guidelines for living on his earth find ourselves marginalized and even becoming endangered by the people around us.  Where is God and why is he allowing this to happen? The Bible makes it very clear that our Father God knows exactly what is happening and why he is allowing events to grow and grow until it looks like things are really getting out of hand. In Isaiah’s day God said, Have you never heard or understood? Don't you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth?(Isa.40:28) Our Enemy does his best to get us to focus on what is happening as though things were really out of control. God tells us that he understands exactly what is happening and he also knows why this must happen if his plans for our world will work out his way.  He tells us, He never grows faint or weary. God knows how to wait and he never gets tired or exhausted during the process. God’s idea of time and his plan for each of us is far too complicated for us to understand.  There is no detail of anything that is happening to anyone, anywhere here on earth that isn’t a part of God’s perfect plan. God insists on everything working out his way. He goes on to say, No one can measure the depths of his understanding.  God knows how much time it takes for each generation to decide if they are willing to trust him as their Lord and Savior or end their lives in hate and disaster.

What God wants from us who are a part of his eternal family is that we wait on him. He said, But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength.(v.31) Part of God’s plan may take us a lifetime and then again things may happen so suddenly we have no idea what to do next.  God knows.  David tells us, Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will preserve me against the anger of my enemies.(Psa.138:7) As we face more and more challenges in our daily lives, we must remember that there is a purpose for each challenge and there is the opportunity to show our faith in God and watch him carry out his plan for each one.  David goes on to say, The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever.(v.8) Not one of us really know how our part of life and service fit into God’s perfect plan for eternity.  What we do know is that God never wastes any part of our life because he was busy somewhere else. In Psalm 32:8 The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. It is also quite encouraging for those of us who are in God’s family and are older, he tells us,  Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.(Psa.92:14) Remember that if we would wait for our Heavenly Father as we go through life that, They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.(Isa.40:31) So even if we are flying or running or walking we know that the Lord will give us what we need to finish our lives here on earth no matter how confusing or dangerous things in life seem to us.

Isaiah 40:28 Have you never heard or understood? Don't you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
