God's Eternal Rewards

Good morning,
God’s Eternal Rewards

One of the wonderful things about God’s eternal rewards to his children is that some of the rewards he has for us have already begun while we are still living in time.  One of my earliest memories in life was standing up in my baby bed, in the dark, terrified and crying a loud as I could for my parents to come and rescue me. There has always been something to be afraid of, but when I was 8 years old and asked Jesus to save me, he gave me something inside me that gets bigger and better with time.  Jesus told his disciples,"I am leaving you with a gift–peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.(John 14:27)  The Apostle John tells us, And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence(1 Jn.4:17) John goes on to say - Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear.(v.18)  That means that when any of God’s children enter eternity, we will never feel that sin based fear ever again.  Not when we see Jesus.  Not when we see our Heavenly Father. Not when we see all the wonders of heaven.  What a wonderful reward! But there is so much more.  The Lord tells us that our accuser, the Devil, will never be able to accuse us again and no one in heaven will ever accuse us either.(Rev.20:10)

Then John’s angelic guide told him, No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him.(Rev.22:3) Just think, we will be able to serve God perfectly without any fear, we will work as worshippers, not slaves. and there is more. We are told, And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.(v.4) Just think, we will be glad to see our loving Father, and he will be watching us in love, and we will never be afraid of what he thinks or wonder if we are good enough in what we are doing. And there is more. And there will be no night there–no need for lamps or sun–for the Lord God will shine on them.(v.5)  We will never again be afraid of, or in the dark, because we will always be living in the light!  And then he tells us, they will reign forever and ever.(5) Then we hear from Hebrews that, For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.(Heb.3:14) Just think, all the worries and fears that we have here will never show up again. No more worries about paying bills, meeting deadlines, no more judges or juries or police or taxes or wars or getting old or sick or failure or sin of any kind.  No more elections or bad housing, or bad neighbors or bad news of any kind. And there is still so much more.  May the Lord help us to keep looking for the facts of God’s loving gifts and rewards that are just waiting for us to arrive.

Revelation 22:3  No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. 4 And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads.
