Are we without a warning?

Good morning,
Without a warning?

There is no other book that has ever been written in all of time that is as important as the book that God has written that we call the Bible.  It is the one document that tells us only what is true and never tells us a single lie.  In this book, God has given us an account of history that is perfectly accurate. This same book also gives us an account of what will be happening in the future.  All of this information is from the perspective of the creator who is in charge of everything that is going on all the time.  Without this book as our guide, we will never be able to understand that we are living in a world that is a spiritual battleground that we can’t see, but will always find ourselves involved with.  If we don’t read the Bible, life on earth and in time will never make sense. We are all aware of fear and pain and failure, but without God’s information we will never understand what this is all about.  Where do we go and what do we do to feel safe in a world that seems to sneak up on us without a warning?

Right now we are living in a world where hate filled people are being trained religiously and culturally to attack the people around them without any personal warning. Without the Bible we would have no idea that God’s sworn enemy has always done things this way.  King David wrote thousands of years ago, The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?”(Psalm 11:3) David found himself running for his life and he described his situation as,The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right.(v.2) But David also had the Bible as his guide so that he could also write, I trust in the LORD for protection. So why do you say to me,"Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!(v.1) David also knew that God knew his situation and so he would also write, For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!(Ps.34:7,8) For those of us who have the God of the Bible as our Father and Jesus as our Savior, we also have the Holy Spirit as the source of joy even when we are facing the attacks of the Enemy.  Our Bible makes it very clear that when we believe what God has said, and then we live our lives based on His reliability and His powerful protection, we can trust the promises that he gives us to turn out His way.  David already had the Lord’s promise then and it still is true for us today when he said, The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.(Ps.91:14,15) We can be very thankful that our God is never surprised by anything that is going on in our lives.  If we genuinely trust him, and depend on him, and seek his will, he will show us what path to take every time.(Prov.3:5,6) Thank you Father that we are never alone and that you have a reason for every situation that we face day by day!

Psalms 11:1 I trust in the LORD for protection. So why do you say to me,"Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety!
