When lovers fight

Good morning,
When lovers fight

As I have been thinking about all the world wide confusion that has become a part of our lives, it occurred to me that what we are going through right now is actually a war going on between two lovers.  On one hand, we are dealing with the creator of our universe, and our world, who spoke it all into place because he loved what and who he was creating. God loved the world he created.(John3:16) The other lover that we are dealing with is a very brilliant and awesomely beautiful angelic creation who was perfect and blameless when God created him, along with a vast number of angels who would serve God in heaven.(Ezekiel 28:12,15)  This lover, we now know as Satan, started looking at himself and, Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor.(Eze.28:7) His love for himself had a very interesting outcome. For you said to yourself, 'I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God's stars. I will preside on the mountain of the gods far away in the north. I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.’(Isaiah 14:13,14) To carry out his plan, he was able to convince a third of the angels to follow him in a violent war.(Rev.12:4)  God won, and said, you sinned. So I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God.(Ezk.28:13)

The one lover, the Most High,  really loves us even though we are all sinners. The other lover loves himself and his power to accuse and confuse and destroy as many of us sinners as possible. The Lord who loves us sent his only begotten son, Jesus, to live here with us in a body like ours.  He lived a sinless life and then went willingly to his death to pay the full price for our sins.  We are told, God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.(John3:7) In the Old Testament, God’s love was explained as, his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.(Ps.103:11,12) In the New Testament Jesus said, 'There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’(Luke 24:47) Now for those of us who have willingly trusted Jesus as our Savior, he makes us this promise. And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”(Heb. 8:12)  Now because we are God’s children, and are controlled by God’s Holy Spirit, we are able to Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.  Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.(Col.3:13,14) Now the world around us is being flooded by those who follow the self lover, Satan, and are doing their best to attack anyone who doesn’t give them what they want, when they want it, without having to pay the cost of their wicked rebellion. It’s no surprise we are seeing the hate filled responses from people to those around them that comes from the hate filled heart of their wicked master.  Dear Lord, will you give us more and more of your love and forgiveness to those around us so that our lives will reflect your light and love in this dark and hate filled world.

Hebrews 8:12 And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins."
