Jesus and the finished plan

Good morning,

Without a doubt, the week end we have just celebrated is the most important three days in the entire history of our universe.  The Bible makes it very clear that God didn’t begin the process of creation until he had finished planning the whole of creation from beginning to end.  It must have been an incredibly exciting time as the members of the God Head put the pieces together that would make up the story of time as we know it.  Imagine their joy as they put together the individuals and families and nations that would be the source for their eternal heavenly family.  We know now that their plan included the actual personal and visible presence of Jesus to be needed to make the plan work the right way.  The Bible is very clear that Jesus spoke the universe that we can see into it’s present form from building blocks that only he could see.  It was then that Jesus became a visible part of this world as he walked and talked with the first two people, Adam and Eve.  God had decided that this awesome story of God’s love and grace would require a perfect world with the necessity of choice to establish who would be an eternal part of God’s family.  After Adam and Eve chose to rebel, no one would be able to see the Son of God for thousands of years.  God made promises that he would be coming back again, but time passed for hundreds of generations without his personal presence.

When the right time came, Jesus was born into this world by a virgin, Mary.  He grew up into an adult and then began a ministry of miracles and powerful teaching that would lead to that wonderful week end.  It was God’s good plan that his perfect Only Begotten Son would willingly go to the cruel cross to pay the price for all of the sins all man kind for all of time.  He lived a perfect life and died a willing death to rob Satan of his claim on our souls because of our sins.  Three days later he was powerfully alive and made the arrangements that would sustain God’s children on earth until he came back to finish God’s plan for his personal presence here one more time.  Now thousands of years later, with prophetic promises like Ezekiel 38 and 39 all falling into place, we can expect that his next visible visit is almost here.  When he comes this time, Jesus will rule and reign for another 1000 years over the earth to keep their plan intact and the promises of God fulfilled.  When that time is over and the final battle is fought between the forces of evil and the God of the universe, the creation as we know it will cease to exist and all those who choose to live by faith in God will be safely gathered home to an eternity lived in the presence of our eternal God and Savior. (Rev. 21: 1-4) Never give up.  Keep on hanging on.  Keep looking up.  He is almost here again.

John 17:24 Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!
