Our God is never crooked or devious

Good morning,

We have a saying in English that a good picture is worth a thousand words.  Unfortunately, we have all discovered that good pictures taken from the wrong angle or at the wrong time can do a lot of damage to a good person being attacked by an enemy.  We are also painfully aware that good words used in the wrong way can easily destroy a good person or a good plan of action.  Those of us who are in God’s family have all experienced  how God’s love picture of an empty cross, the love he has shown us in our creation and the forgiveness he has promised us have all been used by God’s enemies to paint God in many shades of black instead of the pure holy white that has always been true of him.  A good modern term for this process might be called “Spiritual Photoshopping.”  According to our Enemy, creation is the outcome of chance, our lives now have nothing to do with an old peace of blood stained wood and the outcome of everything that is happening now has nothing to do with what some crazy people call sin and the plan of the God of the Bible.

We must all choose between the black “Photoshopped” picture of our Creator God or look gratefully at the true picture that God gives us of himself in the book of Proverbs.  He begins by reminding us to listen to him and not the enemy of our souls.  What he says is totally different than the lies we are bombarded with every day.  Everything that our God says is right.  Our Heavenly Father always speaks the truth.  We can trust every word he has given us in his love letter, the Bible.  He detests every kind of deception and will never lie to us in any way.  When our Father gives us direction and advice it is always based on his perfect plan for each or our individual lives so it will prove to be wholesome and eternally beneficial to us and to our eternal family.  He never uses “spin” or “Photoshopping” to force us to do something that will take advantage of us.  He uses plain words that have been translated into our heart languages that can be understood by ordinary children of the King. Those of us who actually know the King, with the help of his Holy Spirit, will be able to understand what he is telling us.  Our Lover is never devious or crooked, but our Enemy sure is.  Thank you Lord for being the God we can trust in time and for eternity.

Proverbs 8:6 Listen to me! For I have important things to tell you. Everything I say is right, 7 for I speak the truth and detest every kind of deception. 8 My advice is wholesome. There is nothing devious or crooked in it.
9 My words are plain to anyone with understanding, clear to those with knowledge.
