God Thunders, kingdoms crumble

Good morning,

What kind of writer wrote the most popular book ever written?  Now that we live in the electronic age, we have all kinds of options for finding and reading the huge number of books being written to cover the tastes of all kinds of readers.  When it comes to history books, there is no way of finding a more reliable book than getting our hands on the master history book, the Bible.  It covers the history of our world and our universe from the first stages of planning to the final roaring fire that will end what we have come to call our home.  This very unique book covers all the details of history, covering some periods of time with a few hundred words while covering what seem like some very ordinary events with hundreds of verses of detail.  This Book is written as though everything about history is already finished even though there seems to be important sections of time that have yet to begin.  The Author of the Bible also writes about the events of history as though they will be repeated again and again with the same predictable outcome each time.

One of the reasons that God gave us this book was to lay out how much he loves his creation and how much he was willing to do to make it possible for us to have a joy filled eternal relationship with him.  That’s good!  Another reason he gave us this written account of history was for us to see that God will never be sidetracked from carrying out his plan for his creation.  Again and again through history past and again and again through the part of history that hasn’t yet come, in time for us, is the truth that no one ever wins against the Creator.  When any nation or people group or any city or family or individual decides to take God on and get things to happen their way, THEY ALWAYS LOSE! Nations and cultures grow strong and take control of their part of this globe, but when they decide to make their move and take over their world, THEY ALWAYS LOSE!  The Bible is very clear on who will judge every individual and every nation, IT’S ALWAYS JESUS, the Son of God.  For these rebellious people, that is not good!  There is no reason for us to believe our fears.  Never Give Up.  GOD ALWAYS WINS!

Psalm 46:6 The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts! 7 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress
Psalms 2:4 But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.  5 Then in anger he rebukes them, terrifying them with his fierce fury.
