This is our God. We trust him.

Good morning,

Have you ever wondered how God knows what’s going to happen before it actually happens?  We have grown up in a world of empty promises and have learned that you have to be able to look back on an event before you know for sure what happened.  If you think about that you know that even when an event is passed, there is still all kinds of information that we don’t have that keeps us from having the full picture.  Apple has just won a court case against another company that was copying its iPhone, but during the trial the offending company tried to give all kinds of “proof” that they were not guilty as charged.  We find ourselves facing the same kind of problem when it comes to understanding what God is doing in the circumstances of life that we are facing as individuals and as the human race.  The Bible is very clear in telling us that our Creator God has already finished the master plan for all of time, but our Enemy does his best to get us to believe that his explanations for  God’s plan has nothing to do with “a god” at all.  When God tells us what is going to happen, he gives us that information based on what he will be doing to carry out his perfect plan.  In his eternal setting, the events we are now living through are already finished.

Since we know that we can trust our God, we dare not get taken in by our enemies explanations of what is going on.  There has been dramatic and damaging weather world wide, but the real explanation is not global warming, it is God’s global warning.  The financial structure of the world’s governments is falling apart, but the sin based explanation of faulty planning is really man’s rebellion against God’s rules for honesty and integrity.  Our family structures are all being “updated”, but God says we are living self centered, lust filled lives.  As God’s kids, we can trust our God to save us from the destruction that is coming on our world.  As God’s kids, we can trust him to work out his perfect plans for our lives. (Psalm 138:8)  Since the God we serve is in perfect control, we can live here now in hope and joy.  Our Savior is saving us day by day and our Good Shepherd is leading us perfectly through the darkest of valleys and providing us with all that we need, to finish well this side of our eternal home.  May the Lord help us to see our lives through his holy filter instead of living with the values of those captured by the lies of the lost.

Isaiah 25:9 In that day the people will proclaim, “This is our God! We trusted in him, and he saved us! This is the LORD, in whom we trusted. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!”
